    PHYSIOLOGY

    This course introduces students to the physiology of the human body. Students examine the mechanisms of body function, organized around the central theme of homeostasis – how the body meets changing demands while maintaining the internal constancy necessary for all cells and organs to function. Course content focuses on cell physiology, animal nutrition, respiration, body fluids & circulation, osmoregulation & excretion, muscle physiology & nerve physiology.

    ETHOLOGY

    Ethology is the scientific and objective study of animal behaviour, usually with a focus on behaviour under natural conditions, and viewing behaviour as an evolutionarily adaptive trait.

    Spoilage of fish and post-harvest handling.

    Principles of freezing and canning of fish products.

     Knowledge on various preservation techniques.

     HACCP.

    Quality standards in India and major importing countries like USA, Japan and EU. 


    This is a common course in the fourth semester of B.Voc programmes under Calicut Unversity.
